Item Code SOS, This is our most popular auger which is a general
purpose design to handle most soil conditions, even very sandy soils. In
stiff dry clay penetration can be improved by adding a little water to the
hole. It is a 2 slot, 2 cutter, with a spiral tip design.

Item
Code SP,
These are used to drill hard compacted soils or very decomposed rock. They
drill faster and are stronger than the soil augers but require greater care
for accurate sampling. They come in 50mm and 62mm diameters and either full
length spiral or a 300mm spiral piece mounted on a tubular steel shank. All
are available in 1.0 metre or 1.5 metre lengths.
